| Rev. E. G. Wilcox was born May 28, 1887 and died March 18, 1940 in Recife, Brazil and was buried in the English Cemetery there. The following verse is inscribed on the lower part of his monument. "Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." John 14:6 |
| They were Southern Baptist Missionaries assigned to Brazil. They were appointed on July 15, 1920 and served until his death in 1940. |
